From a Rural Village to the World: The Journey of a Resilient Leader

I was born and raised in a rural community in Peru, where access to opportunities was scarce, and the future seemed predetermined by circumstances beyond our control. Growing up in a setting where education was often undervalued and resources were limited, I realized early on that my path would require an extraordinary amount of determination, courage, and resilience.

In my village, dreaming beyond the mountains that surrounded us was considered audacious. But I have always believed that ambition is not a privilege—it is a right. The question was not whether I was capable, but rather how I would defy the odds to make my dreams a reality.

Breaking Barriers: The Pursuit of Opportunity

Education became my strongest weapon against limitations. With an insatiable thirst for knowledge and a relentless drive, I sought every possible opportunity to expand my horizons. I participated in leadership programs, engaged in debates, and dedicated myself to community service, understanding that real change begins from within. One of the defining moments of my journey was being selected as a Youth Ambassador 2024, a prestigious program that took me to the United States. This was more than just a trip—it was the validation of years of struggle, effort, and resilience. Stepping onto American soil, I felt an overwhelming sense of responsibility. I was not just representing myself, but my entire community, proving that no matter where one comes from, greatness is achievable.

During my time in the U.S., I was exposed to a world of ideas, cultures, and leadership perspectives that expanded my vision. I connected with young leaders from different continents, shared my story, and learned from theirs. The experience reinforced my belief in the power of youth to drive global change. It was no longer just about breaking personal barriers—it was about building bridges for others to cross as well.

LXT:CHANGE – Turning Vision into Action: Inspired by my experiences and driven by a deep sense of purpose, I founded LXT:CHANGE, a youth-led organization dedicated to empowering young minds through critical thinking, leadership development, and social impact initiatives. Our mission is to equip young people with the tools they need to challenge societal norms, advocate for their rights, and become catalysts for meaningful change.

Through LXT:CHANGE, we have organized leadership workshops, public speaking trainings, and community-driven projects that foster resilience, confidence, and active citizenship. Our programs are designed not only to educate but to inspire—encouraging youth to believe in their potential and take action in their own communities.

What started as a dream in a rural village has now evolved into a movement that transcends borders. Our network continues to grow, with young leaders from different backgrounds joining forces to build a future where opportunity is not dictated by geography, but by determination.

The Power of Resilient Leadership: My journey has taught me that leadership is not about titles or positions—it is about service, perseverance, and the unwavering commitment to creating a better world. Today, as I prepare to embark on a new chapter at boarding school in China, I carry with me the lessons learned from my humble beginnings, my transformative experiences abroad, and the unshakable belief that every young person has the power to shape their own destiny.
